A stump keeps sprouting, hides in the grass, and eats mower blades. We grind it below grade and backfill the hole, so you can mow straight over where it was.

Questions we get asked
- How deep do you grind?
- Below grade — far enough to plant grass over and mow across without hitting anything. If you are putting a building or a drive on top, tell us, because that wants to go deeper.
- What happens to the hole?
- We backfill it with the grindings and tamp it down. Expect it to settle a little over the first season, so top it up once and it is done.
- Can you get to a stump in a tight spot?
- Usually. Tell us what the machine has to fit through — a gate width, a side yard — when you book, and we will bring the right one.
